NAMI Hearts & Minds is a presentation focusing on inner and outer wellness for people living with a mental illness. The upcoming presentation is titled, “Fill the bowl: Wellness through healthy, cost-conscious eating” with Elena Kravitz.

 

 

NAMI In Our Own Voice is a program for community education and reducing stigma, as trained volunteers share their lived experience of mental health recovery; What Happened, What Helps, and What’s Next.

This is a presentation we give over 200 times a year to a wide variety of audiences, including high school and college classes, professional trainings, family education courses, and congregations.

NAMI Family & Friends is a free seminar that informs people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how to best support them. It’s also an opportunity to meet other people in similar situations and gain community support. Led by trained people with lived experience of supporting a family member with a mental health condition, the seminar includes topics such as:

– Understanding diagnoses, treatment and recovery

– Effective communication strategies

– The importance of self-care

– Crisis preparation strategies

– NAMI and community resources

Participants will receive a free e-book after the presentation!
