“The Importance of CBT, DBT and Mindfulness in Outpatient Treatment”
Speaker: Michael Brown, LCADC, Mental Health Clinician, Acute Partial Hospital Program, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care
This presentation will provide education about the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for the treatment of trauma, panic, phobias, obsessive thoughts, and other anxiety disorders. This presentation will also review Mindfulness Practice and will be beneficial to increasing families’ understanding of their loved ones’ thinking, feeling, and behaviors, and will provide knowledge of how CBT techniques can be useful in the recovery journey of loved ones with mental illness.
