SAMHAJ HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

SAMHAJ
(South Asian Mental Health Awareness in Jersey),
a program by NAMI New Jersey celebrated a year of accomplishments
in a festive manner at the Tanjore restaurant on December 2.
Following a Dinner buffet, Sylvia Axelrod, the Executive Director
of NAMI NJ presented Certificates of Appreciation to South Asian
professionals and Organizations recognizing their contributions
in furthering the educational goals of the SAMHAJ program.
Ms. Axelrod also presented awards to Family members and volunteers
in recognition of their tireless efforts undertaken during the
year to increase awareness about mental health issues among
the South Asian community. The evening's celebration culminated
with a slide show of SAMHAJ's yearlong activities and outreach
efforts.
SAMHAJ thanks all the families and volunteers who have contributed
to the program's success. |
