NAMI CARE is NAMI’s self-help support group format, in use by NAMI affiliates throughout the country. It is open to anyone who identifies themselves as a mental health consumer seeking support, offered (like all NAMI programs) without charge or required membership, and facilitated by trained consumer leaders. The groups are very similar to the Family-to-Family support groups run by some NAMI affiliates, and are based on the same principles, guidelines, and stages of emotional response common to Family-to-Family support and education programs and the Peer-to-Peer education program.


The following NAMI NEW JERSEY affiliates currently offer NAMI CARE:

NAMI-Greater Monmouth, 3rd Tuesday of every month from 7-8:30pm at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 112 Middletown Rd., Holmdel. Contact Jay at 732-531-7624, jyudof@hotmail.com.

NAMI Salem County, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month, from 7-8:30pm at First Baptist Church, 117 S. Main St., Woodstown. Contact Kathleen at 856-299-4012.
