NAMI NEW JERSEY was one of the 12 national sites for the first national walkathon for mental illness on May 18, 2003 at Westampton, Mount Holly in Burlington County. This walk was an unprecedented effort to bring the issue of mental illness and the toll it takes on individuals and families into the public eye.
