101.5 Vows to Initiate Public Campaign to Raise Awareness about Mental Illness.

NAMI NJ is pleased to announce that New Jersey 101.5's Vice-President/General Manager, Andy Santoro spoke today to Sylvia Axelrod, Executive Director of NAMI NJ offering the station's full support to NAMI NJ in a mental health awareness campaign. He stated that the station vows to initiate a public campaign and to help be the voice of mental health awareness in New Jersey.

As a result of NAMI NJ's anti-stigma alerts, thousands of letters, emails and calls were generated. With this pledge from 101.5, it is important that our advocates acknowledge the station's positive actions.

What should you do? We ask our advocates who had contacted station advertisers to let them know that we are pleased with the response from the station and plan to work together to create a better understanding toward the mental health community. Others should contact Eric Johnson, Station Manager and Andy Santora, Group Vice-President acknowledging their response and letting them know you are looking forward to hearing 101.5 become a voice for people and families affected by mental illness.

The Station Manager is Mr. Eric Johnson, (whose email address is: ej1015@nj1015.com)
