2010 NAMI NJ ANNUAL CONFERENCE

NAMI NEW JERSEY’s 2010 conference, Hope for a Better Future: Early Intervention & Community Support, successfully addressed several important issues and needs in the mental health community. Internationally known researchers Dr. William McFarlane and Dr. Barbara Cornblatt presented cutting edge research and information on the enormous potential of early intervention for adolescents and young adults.

The Gov. Richard Codey Mental Health Champion Award was presented to Edward Von Lindern, Jr., for his 30 plus years of advocacy on behalf of people with mental illness. Drew Horn, founder to the Turn-a-Frown-Around Foundation, and Jacquese Armstrong, writer & poet, were awarded the Dara Axelrod Expressive Arts Award.
